Stacy Farber of UHY Appointed to State Board of Accountancy

Whenever there are vacancies on the State Board of Accountancy, the CTCPA is asked to nominate potential candidates to the governor for his consideration. We are pleased to announce that Stacy Farber, CPA has been appointed to the board.
This appointment, which follows the September selection of Bud McDonald, CPA, brings the State Board of Accountancy to its full complement.
Stacy Farber
Stacy Farber brings more than 22 years of experience in financial leadership. She specializes in financial decision-making and company-wide policy development to overcome operational issues and drive proactive improvements. Stacy is a Farmington Attest and CAAS Practice Leader who provides attest and advisory consulting services to closely held businesses, performing compilations, reviews, and audits for clients in various industries.She is the head of the UHY Employee Benefit Plan Center of Excellence for the Northeast Region. She consolidates and analyzes financial statements and results and evaluates finances to determine risks and create cash forecasts.
At UHY, she advises management on how to craft effective business plans and resolve cost-related issues. As a CFO for more than five years, she led and managed all areas of accounting operations, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, AP/AR/GL, fixed assets, payroll, revenue recognition treatment, collections, financial planning, and analysis and assisted small businesses with year-end reconciliations and record clean-up.
