CPA Society Names Dennis Cole of Madison President-elect

The Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA) has elected Dennis W. Cole, CPA of Madison to serve as president-elect for the organization’s 2018-2019 activity year. His election took place at the CTCPA Annual Meeting held recently at Cascade in Hamden.

Mr. Cole is a partner in the public accounting firm of Beers, Hamerman, Cohen & Burger, PC, with offices in New Haven and Fairfield. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from Villanova University.

Mr. Cole has also served the CTCPA as treasurer, Board of Directors member-at-large, Educational Trust Fund chair, Student Outreach and Career Awareness Committee member, and Relations with Colleges and Universities Committee chair. The CTCPA honored him with its Jack Brooks Leadership Award in 2014.

The Connecticut Society of CPAs is celebrating more than a century of service to membership and community alike. Formed by nine CPAs in 1908 at New Haven’s Union League Club, today CTCPA has a current membership of almost 6,000 individuals in public practice, business and industry, government, and education. Its function is to advocate on behalf of the accounting profession, foster a professional community among CPAs, and provide continuing education opportunities as well as a comprehensive peer review program and a variety of membership services for CPAs in Connecticut.
