Membership Dues

How does auto-renew work?

With our auto-renew system, we'll charge your credit card to renew your CTCPA membership annually in June. We'll remind you about the upcoming payment via email. You can opt out at any time via your personal dashboard on the CTCPA website or by contacting the membership team at membership@ctcpas.org or by calling 860-258-4800 and press 2.

We reserve the right to terminate membership for the non-payment of membership dues.  You are responsible for updating your payment information in the event your card is declined or expired; you will be notified via email, but you can update your information at any time at Manage Saved Cards - Connecticut Society of CPAs or by contacting the membership team: membership@ctcpas.org or 860-258-4800, press 2.

What are the billing classes and dues amounts?

Billing classes are based upon your status on March 31 of the dues year. If your circumstances have changed, please dial 860-258-4800 and press 2 for the membership department or email membership@ctcpas.org

When are dues payment due?

Dues are payable upon receipt. The membership year begins on June 1 and ends on May 31. After July 1, a second invoice will be issued and a $20 fee applied. After August 31, if dues remain unpaid, your membership will be suspended.

Are membership dues deductible?

For 2024-2025, 97% of dues payments are deductible for most members as an ordinary and necessary business expense. Contributions to the scholarship fund are tax deductible.

Terms, Code of Conduct, and Community Etiquette

The Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA) hosts pages on several public tools such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Flickr, and YouTube along with the CTCPA website at www.ctcpas.org and CTCPA Connect, our private online community that allows users to ask questions and share knowledge within the professional community.

Opinions and views expressed are solely those of the author(s) and do not represent the CTCPA.

By participating in online platforms that are CTCPA branded, you agree that you have read, understand, and will adhere to these Terms and Code of Conduct. CTCPA reserves the right to delete posts and/or suspend or terminate accounts for individuals who violate these terms.

Please do:

  • Use the online community to share knowledge, build your reputation as an expert, and help others.
  • Include your name and affiliation in postings.
  • Be polite, respectful, and professional in your posts and replies.
  • Give credit where credit is due by citing your sources.
  • Search before posting a question, as your question may have been answered already.
  • Report inappropriate or illegal postings you find within the community to Kirsten Piechota at kirstenp@ctcpas.org.

The following are prohibited:

  • Discussion of fees. Use caution when discussing products. Information posted on any platform is available for all to see, and your comments are subject to libel, slander, and antitrust laws.
  • Sharing client information that violates Rule 301, Confidential Client Information, of the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct.
  • Posting promotional or sales messages (e.g., products/services, job postings, firm/business acquisitions, professional development programs, or events not affiliated with CTCPA).
  • Posting unnecessary messages to the whole group; instead, send appreciative notes directly to the sender rather than posting to the whole group.
  • Posting or sending inappropriate or unprofessional messages or materials. All defamatory, obscene, offensive, abusive, profane, threatening, and illegal materials are strictly prohibited and will be removed.

CTCPA will:

  • Respond to user complaints about specific postings.
  • Remove a posting if it violates the Terms, Code of Conduct, or community etiquette.
  • Remove a member from the online community who continues to violate the Terms, Code of Conduct, or community etiquette.
  • Create new groups as requested when there is sufficient interest by members.
  • Occasionally display, copy, publish, and distribute information posted within the forums for the purposes of marketing and encouraging usage.

CTCPA doesn't:

  • Edit postings.
  • Pay for postings to CTCPA Connect.
  • Review postings for technical accuracy.
