Connecticut Society of CPAs Elects and Installs 2024-2025 Leadership

The Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA) has elected and installed its Board of Directors for the 2024-2025 activity year at its Annual Meeting held at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville. 

Chair
Kevin Lawlor, CPA of Cheshire
Formerly of Fairfield University and Seton Collaborative

Mr. Lawlor is the retired Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Fairfield University, and he recently served as the Executive Director of the non-profit start up Seton Collaborative in Bridgeport. He previously held numerous senior level positions at United Technologies, where he worked for 25 years. Mr. Lawlor holds a B.S. in Accounting from Fairfield University, an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he was an Alfred P Sloan Fellow, and an M.S. in Taxation from the University of New Haven. He has served the CTCPA as Chair-elect, Treasurer, a Member-at-Large of the Board of Directors, and as a member of the Investment Committee, Finance Committee, and Accounting, Auditing, and Financial Reporting Committee.

Mary Manfredi, CPA of Westerly, RI
General Dynamics Electric Boat

Ms. Manfredi is the Manager of Finance at General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton. She holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. She has also served CTCPA as Treasurer, Secretary, and a member of the Advisory Council, Investment Committee, and Women’s Awards Event Planning Committee.

Muhammad Malloy, CPA of Colchester
CohnReznick LLP 

Mr. Malloy is a Tax Manager at CohnReznick LLP in Hartford. He holds an M.S. in Accounting and Taxation from the University of Hartford, a B.S. in Accounting from Eastern Connecticut State University, and an A.S. in Accounting from Three Rivers Community College. He has served CTCPA as a Member-at-Large on the Board of Directors and a member of the New and Young Professionals Group, Membership Committee, and High School Speakers Bureau.

Goldblatt Bokoff, LLC

Ms. Moore is a Partner with Goldblatt Bokoff LLC in Norwich. She holds a B.S. in Accounting and an M.S. in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. She is a 2024 recipient of a CTCPA Women’s Award in the Women to Watch Category. She has served CTCPA as chair of the Advisory Council and Technology Committee, and has served as a member of the following groups: Accounting, Auditing, and Financial Reporting Committee; State Taxation Committee; Federal Taxation Committee; Nominating Committee, New and Young Professionals Group; Small Firm Roundtable; and Southeastern Connecticut Chapter.

Mr. Bassin is a Partner, Tax & Advisory Services with Fiondella, Milone & LaSaracina in Glastonbury. He holds a B.S. in Accountancy from George Washington University and an M.S. in Taxation from Baruch College. He has served CTCPA as a member of Federal Taxation Committee and the Trust, Estate, and Gift Taxation Committee, and previously served as the Advisory Council Chair and a Board of Directors member in 2014-2015. He is a graduate of the Connecticut Professionals’ Leadership Academy.

Mr. King is a Partner with King, King & Associates, P.C. CPAs in Winsted. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from Liberty University. He has also served the CTCPA as a chair and member of the Governmental Accounting and Auditing Committee and a member of the Peer Review Committee.

Kariann McDougall, MSA, CPA of Torrington
Marcum LLP

Ms. McDougall is a Senior Manager – Business Enterprise Services with Marcum LLP in New Haven. Additionally, she has taught accounting courses at Post University. She holds an M.S. in Accounting, B.S. in Accounting, and A.S. in Criminal Justice from Post University. She is a graduate of the Connecticut Professionals’ Leadership Academy and has served as a member of several CTCPA committees including Accounting, Auditing, and Financial Reporting; State Taxation; Federal Taxation; Technology; Trust, Estate, and Gift Taxation; and the New and Young Professionals’ Group.

Ms. Tressy is Senior Vice President and Chief Auditor at Voya Financial in Windsor. She holds an MBA from the University of Connecticut and a B.A. in Political Science from College of the Holy Cross. She is chair of the CTCPA Audit Committee and has served as a Member-at-Large of the Advisory Council, a member of the Nominating Committee, and a member of the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Committee.

Karen Zeilnhofer, CPA of Danbury 
Deloitte LLP 

Ms. Zeilnhofer is a Managing Director at Deloitte LLP in Stamford. She holds a B.S. in Accounting from Clemson University. She has served CTCPA as a member of the Fairfield County Chapter and the Membership Committee, as a chair and member of the Nominating Committee. She is also on the board the Greater Fairfield County Chapter of Junior Achievement.  

With a membership of more than 6,000 in public practice, business and industry, government, and education, the CTCPA’s mission is to advocate on behalf of the accounting profession, foster a professional community among CPAs, and provide professional development opportunities for CPAs in Connecticut.
