Nicola, Yester & Company, P.C. Announces Promotions

Edward Fitzgerald, Jr. was elected Manager as of January 1, 2023. Ed has been with the firm since January of 2018 and focuses on providing attest and tax services to closely held privately owned companies primarily in the industries of construction, manufacturing, and distribution.

Ed received his B.A. Degree from Trinity College (2006). He also holds a Masters degree in Accounting from Eastern Connecticut State University (2018) and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP).

Ed currently serves on the Board of Directors of the St. James School Foundation and the East Eagles Endowment Fund, which are not-for-profit organizations in Manchester, CT, and has recently accepted a position on the Board of Directors of Associated Builders and Contractors – Connecticut Chapter.

Ed resides in Manchester with his wife and their two children.

Erica L. Sadlak was elected Partner as of January 1, 2023. Erica joined the firm in 2017 and focuses her practice in tax planning and preparation services for privately held businesses primarily in the construction, manufacturing, and professional service industries, along with high net worth individuals.

Erica received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Connecticut (Summa Cum Laude). She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA), and The Estate and Business Planning Council of Hartford (EBPC).

Erica resides in South Windsor with her husband and their two sons.

Evan Proulx recently joined the firm as Manager. With more than 12 years of experience in public accounting, Evan's practice concentration is providing accounting, tax, and advisory services to closely-held businesses and their owners. He serves industries throughout New England, New York, New Jersey, and Florida including manufacturing and distribution, construction, real estate, technology, and professional service firms. Evan brings a wholistic approach to serving his clientele and prides himself on forward-looking value-added business advice.

Evan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA). He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant with the State of Connecticut.

He is a graduate of Bryant University in Rhode Island. Evan has served as a Director and Trustee for various boards.
